Arguably the Best Family Photoshoot Location in Vaud, Switzerland

There are many great photoshoot locations in canton Vaud in Switzerland. During the last five years living here, in French speaking part of Switzerland, I had multiple opportunities to try them at a different times of the day and year. So which one would I consider best?

Exploring Family Photography in Vaud: This marked probably the sixth or seventh occasion that I had the privilege of capturing Fabiën's family moments, having previously photographed them at home and few other places around. This time we decided to explore the canton of Vaud further, seeking out something unique and interesting, but also a place that is the highlight the cultural and natural beauty of the region.

Chasing the Serenity of Lake Geneva

There is no doubt this lake is the heart of the region and it definitely feels like a ‘home’ that deserved to be captured. The gentle breeze, the crystal-clear waters, and the stunning panorama would make an excellent addition to our session.

Anyone who lived or visited Switzerland once realizes that where there is a lake there are mountains. The inseparable duo provides a dramatic and awe-inspiring backdrop for family photos, with their rugged beauty and pristine wilderness setting the stage for unforgettable moments captured on camera.

The ancient stone walls, turrets, and towers of these castles create a backdrop that is both majestic and romantic, transporting families back in time to a bygone era. The Chillon Castle, located at the shores of pristine Lake Geneva in Switzerland is the perfect setting for a family photoshoot, with its stunning Swiss mountains that loom in the distance, as well as enchanting castle walls, both adding a sense of grandeur and drama and emphasises the beauty of nature.
